Reimagining Nike’s B2B Asset ecosystem to empower retail partners—and unlock $16M in growth

Reimagining Nike’s Retailer Asset Platform

A unified system that streamlined workflows, improved usability, and delivered measurable impact

The Challenge

Retail partners were wasting time—and missing deadlines—because product and campaign assets were scattered across disconnected tools (DRA, BAP, Box, Excel). The interface was outdated, asset search was frustrating, and key features were buried. This wasn’t just a UX problem—it impacted brand storytelling, go-to-market timelines, and sales.

My Role

I owned the partner-facing experience from discovery to delivery, stepped up during a leadership gap to define design-led requirements, and aligned teams across product, engineering, and brand.

Approach

  • Research: Conducted interviews and UX audits to uncover pain points like missing product images, fragmented workflows, and low adoption of features like alerts. Led stakeholder and partner interviews, conducted UX audits, analyzed platform usage data.

  • Requirements: Design-led requirements to define clear expectations across product, engineering, and leadership

  • Design Exploration: Through iterative design explorations, I developed multiple concepts before selecting a streamlined, feasible solution that aligned with Nike’s technical and business constraints. The final design introduced a centralized platform that merged multiple asset management tools, improved search and filtering capabilities, and incorporated real-time feedback mechanisms to enhance efficiency.

  • User-Centered Solutions:Collaborated closely with product engineering, and leadership to ensure feasibility, maintain design integrity, and push execution forward. Focused on improving search, browse, and download workflows while balancing technical feasibility.

Key Features & Solutions

  • Unified System: Merged DRA and BAP into one streamlined platform.

  • Quick Download Flow: Enabled fast, frictionless downloads for assets under 10 items.

  • Bulk Downloads: Supported up to 150,000 assets in just four clicks.

  • Alerts & Notifications: Introduced proactive asset updates tailored to partner workflows.

  • Flexible Browsing: Offered both list and grid views with enhanced filtering and search capabilities.

  • Highlight: Action-triggered footer with real-time feedback

Impact

  • $16M increase in revenue

  • Increased partner conversion rates (projected from 37% to 70%)

  • Reduced dependency on Box and manual processes

  • Positioned Nike for scalable asset delivery and partner satisfaction

Reflections

This project sharpened my ability to lead through ambiguity, advocate for design-led strategies, and design systems that scale. I learned to balance partner needs with feasibility and to define elegant workflows that support complex business goals.
